1. Information We Collect
Information you give us directly
- Purchase information. When you buy a SoundMesh license, our payment processor collects your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. We receive your name, email, and order details—we do not receive or store your full card number.
- Contact & support requests. If you email us or use the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message.
- License validation. The SoundMesh app sends your license key to our licensing server to confirm your license is valid. It does not send your name, your audio, or the names of your devices.
Information collected automatically
- Website usage data. Like most websites, our web server automatically logs standard request data such as your IP address, browser and device type, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. We also use the Google Ads tag to measure advertising, as described in Section 3 and Section 4. We do not run a separate third-party analytics product.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Described in detail in Section 3.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above to:
- Process your order, deliver your license, and provide receipts;
- Provide customer support and respond to your questions;
- Operate, maintain, and improve the website and SoundMesh;
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, license abuse, and security issues;
- Measure and improve the performance of our advertising (see Section 4);
- Comply with tax, accounting, and other legal obligations.
4. Advertising
We use the Google Ads tag on this website. We do not currently run Meta (Facebook/Instagram) advertising pixels. If we add other advertising platforms, we will update this policy and the date above before those tools go live.
The Google Ads tag (gtag.js) loads on pages of soundmesh.pro. It uses cookies and similar technologies to measure which ads led to a visit or purchase and, where enabled in our Google Ads account, to build audiences of past visitors for remarketing. The tag receives standard browser and device information and the pages you visit on this site. It never receives your card number — payments are handled entirely by Stripe.
Google acts as an independent controller of the data collected through its tag, processing it under its own privacy policy. Any advertising platform we add later would do the same:
You can opt out of personalized Google advertising at any time using the Google ad settings link above, the Digital Advertising Alliance opt-out page in Section 3, or your browser’s cookie and tracking-prevention settings.
6. The SoundMesh Desktop App
SoundMesh is designed to process audio locally on your Mac. Microphone audio itself is not uploaded to our servers. SoundMesh only communicates with our servers for:
- License validation using your license key, when the app starts and periodically while it runs;
- Optional crash/diagnostic reports if you choose to send one. These may include technical details about your Mac and app state, but not microphone audio.
For the specific system permissions SoundMesh requests, see the Privacy section of our homepage.
7. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing, including rights under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA and similar state laws.
- Access, correction, or deletion: email support@soundmesh.pro.
- Marketing emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
- Ad personalization: use the Meta and Google opt-out links above.
- California residents: we do not sell your personal information. Our use of the Google Ads tag for remarketing may count as “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising as the CCPA/CPRA uses that term. You can opt out using the links in Section 4, your browser settings, or by emailing support@soundmesh.pro.
8. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Order and license records are kept as needed for support, warranty, legal, and tax purposes. We delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, or sooner upon a valid deletion request.
9. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including HTTPS/TLS and a PCI-compliant payment processor so we never see or store your full card number. No transmission or storage method is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
SoundMesh and soundmesh.pro are not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided us information.
11. International Users
We are based in the United States, and information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and provide additional notice where appropriate.
